4.1 Processes
Plywood (figure 2 ) comes in the form of a flat or molded panel, made up of thin sheets of wood called plies, obtained by peeling. A weather-resistant organic binder and hot-pressing ensure that these cross-stranded plies are held together (perpendicularly oriented).
