3.1 Prevent corrosion
Corrosion must be taken into account at the design stage of a project. This requires a perfect understanding of the surrounding environment, as well as a judicious choice of protection methods. Both in the workshop and on site, careful preparation of the surfaces to be protected, followed by regular maintenance, is essential.
Draughtsmen, design engineers and project managers will try to create simple assemblies, avoiding gussets, stiffeners and complex profile intersections.
The goal is clear: we need to hinder the process of battery formation. There are a number of means at our disposal, as the anti-corrosive action of protection takes many forms.
