6. Work involving special risks
6.1 Simplified general health and safety plan (PGSCSPS)
The French Labor Code stipulates that a simplified general health and safety protection plan (PGSCSPS) must be drawn up for work involving special risks, but we had to wait for the publication of the decree of February 25, 2003, implementing article L. 235-6, to find out the precise list.
These provisions have led to the introduction of a new class of category 3 operations requiring the drafting of a PGSCSPS. There are now two classes of Category 3 operations:
operations identified as not falling into categories 1 and 2;
operations subject to the obligation to draw up a PGSCSPS.
