6. Elevators and freight elevators
6.1 Elevator shafts and cabins (article GH 30)
1. Elevators and hoists, and in general all elevating devices linking 2 or more levels, are installed in accordance with Decree no. 2000-810 of August 24, 2000, on the marketing of elevators.
2. For elevators, in addition to these provisions, the temperature inside the shafts is compatible with safe elevator operation, in particular by avoiding deformation of the guides. This operation is ensured for 2 h in relation to a fire outside the shaft, assumed to evolve according to the standardized temperature/time curve defined by standard NF EN 13501-2 – March 2013: Fire classification of construction products and elements – Part 2: Classification based on fire resistance test data, excluding products used in ventilation...
