1. Specificity of building sites

  • A "building" is any structure of a certain size used as a shelter or dwelling. Buildings include

    • single-family homes and buildings, including high-rise buildings;

    • OFFICES ;

    • farm buildings ;

    • industrial or storage buildings;

    • gyms ;

    • hospitals...

    They are usually located in urban areas and connected to local networks (electricity, telephone, drinking water, sewage). They are built by companies of all sizes. The French Building Federation (FFB), which accounts for two-thirds of the profession's sales, has 57,000 members, including 42,000 craft businesses (see [Doc. C 114]...
