3.1 Safety – Quality – Environment

Most French companies are certified ISO 9000 (quality management system) and, to a lesser extent, BS 8800 (occupational health and safety management system) and ISO 14000 (environmental management).

When carrying out a building project, they comply with these standards after having (for major building projects) specified their organization via a specific QAP, PPSPS and EMS (see [C 112v2] ).

  • Accidents are unfortunately a frequent occurrence on building sites. Each trade is responsible for reducing accidents caused by its own work. Legislation requires the presence of a health and safety coordinator...
