2.1 Main constituents
Anhydrous hydraulic road binder is an intimate mixture, produced either before or after grinding, of one or more constituents:
clinker (see article ) ;
by-products from other industries (slag, fly ash) which undergo more or less elaborate selection and preparation for incorporation into binders;
natural products which, for incorporation into binders, do not undergo any treatment other than drying and pulverization (fillers, natural pozzolans);
a setting activator (usually lime).
