1. Furniture in the cold chain
The term "cold chain" is commonly used to designate all fixed or mobile refrigeration equipment and operations used to transport perishable foodstuffs, maintained at a controlled temperature, from the production stage to the final consumption stage.
It is made up of five links:
refrigeration at the production stage ;
cold storage ;
cold in transport ;
cold at the distribution stage ;
domestic refrigeration.
The first four links are strictly controlled by the public authorities, and are subject to extensive and constantly evolving regulations.
In the distribution of chilled and frozen foods, rigorous maintenance of cold chain...

Sales refrigeration units installed in food retail outlets are complex thermal and aeraulic machines, operating under variable ambient conditions. They constantly exchange air, heat and humidity with the store's internal environment. The cold production needed to maintain their temperature is cyclically interrupted by defrosting operations. The temperature of the goods on display will be strongly affected by these...
