7. Conclusion
In addition to the traditional uses of heat transfer fluids, which are extremely varied, the use of heat transfer circuits involving the use of heat transfer fluids is growing as a result of increased interest in the recovery of waste heat from industrial processes and the development of district heating micro-networks.
The main selection criteria are of course based on the operating temperatures of these fluids, but also on the energy performance of the heat transport process. Choosing the right heat transfer fluid for a given application is the result of a multi-criteria analysis that integrates these temperature and energy efficiency constraints, as well as environmental requirements.
