11. Energy-saving actions in logistics
Logistics, which covers the transport, storage and handling of goods (raw materials, incoming products, finished goods), has become an important element in a company's energy management.
11.1 Share of transport activity
The energy balance of transport activities is useful to calculate, as it enables us to reflect on the means used and the improvements to be made to reduce costs: optimizing loads and routes, reducing packaging, eco-driving, more efficient rolling stock, etc. More than 37 CEE sheets (CEE TRAN sheets) offer suggestions for improvement.
