1. Various laminations, veneers

This is the action of laminating decorative sheets or filaments to various panels: particleboard, MDF, fiberboard.

1.1 Panels coated with real wood veneer

Wood veneer is a way of ennobling an ordinary wood panel, which can be a cheap wood lath or plywood.

Such panels can be manufactured :

  • or from the plywood or batten manufacturer. In this case, gluing is carried out with a heat-cured urea-formaldehyde adhesive;

  • or from the furniture manufacturer, in which case he'll use a water-based vinyl glue that's also hot-pressed.
