6. Maximum admissible speed
Preload causes greater heat build-up than with backlash. The higher the preload, the lower the maximum permissible speed. A speed reduction coefficient is applied (see table 5 ). The standard NF ISO 15312 "Reference thermal speed" defines a maximum reference speed for standardized operating conditions.
