1. The role of strapping

Originally used for closing and reinforcing packaging, strapping has gradually evolved towards other applications such as :

  • grouping of loose elements to form homogeneous handling units (bundles, packs, bundles, etc.);

  • holding loads on handling pallets and securing loads directly on vehicles ;

  • lifting certain types of heavy loads by means of strapping, making it essential to observe rigorous rules concerning the methodology used for strapping and the correct adaptation of the elements used for gripping.
