Packaging innovation can be found in a wide range of fields:
active packaging that reacts with the contents (food or flowers) to extend its shelf life;
new pump system for a cosmetic product that prevents oxygen from penetrating inside;
stronger and lighter at the same time, etc.
The law rewards innovation by protecting it. It will grant the person who brings something new to society a monopoly of exploitation for a certain period of time: from 3 years for certain designs to 70 years for copyright.
