3. From material origin to packaging end-of-life

Three priority actions generally emerge from Life Cycle Assessment studies carried out as part of packaging eco-design projects:

  • choice of packaging materials;

  • the quantity of material used ;

  • recovery of packaging at end-of-life.

Through concrete examples, this chapter aims to provide input for phase 2 of the ecodesign project described in standard NF X 30-264. It is not exhaustive.
