3. Share of reverse logistics worldwide

Although reverse logistics will eventually affect all companies, it is currently only being considered by those with an international reach. This is because reverse logistics requires a sufficiently solid infrastructure and substantial resources (human, material, technical and financial) to be implemented effectively and efficiently.

According to research conducted by Dr. Dale S. Rogers and Dr. Ronald S. Tibben-Lembke in 1998 [1] only half of companies with sales of at least $1 billion were able to provide relevant information on their own reverse logistics (Nintendo, Sharp Electronics Corp., Black & Decker Inc., Thompson Consumer Electronics...)
