2. Definition of reverse logistics

  • At present, there are many definitions, all more or less similar. In order to define reverse logistics, we first need to clearly define what forward logistics is.

    The Council of Logistics Management defines forward logistics as: "the set of efficient processes for planning, implementing and controlling the flow of raw materials, work-in-process, finished products and related information, from upstream to downstream, with the aim of satisfying the end customer/consumer".
