4. Technologies

4.1 Structures

These are mechanically-welded structures in flame-cut sheet metal of complex shapes, dictated by weight, dimensions and the need to accommodate components in the frame and turret. The materials used are high-strength steels (690, 890 N/mm 2 or more). For equipment subjected to severe operating conditions, endurance calculations lead to the use of materials with lower yield strengths (355 or 235 N/mm 2 ), with unfavorable repercussions on machine weight.
