5. Consequences of reducing water use in paper mills
The regulatory landscape is therefore evolving towards encouraging users to make better use of water resources. Industry, and in particular the paper industry, is largely concerned by this water policy, which encourages sites to aim for minimum water consumption and reduced impact of discharges into the natural environment.
