6. Treatments to inhibit bacterial growth and biofilms
Whatever the type of cooling circuit, whatever the nature of the make-up water, the biocidal treatments are the same:
Biocides must be selected from those authorized by law;
treatments must comply with the regulations specific to each industry concerning discharge standards;
treatments must ensure that heat exchange is maintained;
treatments must not increase corrosion.
