2. Treatment characterization methods
2.1 Prioritization by level
Optimizing waste management from a circular economy perspective means respecting the hierarchy of treatment methods defined in II of Article L. 541-1 of the Environment Code, and illustrated in the figure 2 . These terms cover a range of operations that need to be clearly defined if we are to avoid getting into the wrong box, particularly when we have to report to the authorities on our compliance.
