To avoid any possible confusion, we need to define some of the terms we use and how they relate to each other.
1.1 Definitions

Environmental aspect: part of an organization's activities, products or services that may interact with the environment.
Note: a significant environmental aspect is an environmental aspect that has or may have a significant environmental impact (ISO 14001).
Environmental impact: any change to the environment, whether negative or beneficial, resulting in whole or in part from the environmental aspects of an organization (ISO 14001).
