8. Conclusion

Drawing up a declaration file is a relatively simple procedure (compared with drawing up an authorization file, for example). It also takes much less time to complete. While an authorization application can often take over a year to process, a declaration application generally takes no longer than 1 month.

However, we must not lose sight of the fact that the "récépissé de déclaration" is an essential component of the building permit. Particular care must be taken when completing it, as an incomplete declaration is inadmissible and will lead to a request for additional information, which will delay the issue of the declaration receipt. Particular care must be taken when drawing up the plans, and in particular when respecting scale and the number of copies to be sent (3).
