3. Principle of attrition milling

The ATR vertical ball mill-agitator, the centerpiece of the entire mechanical system, processes the product to be processed - in this case, wheat flour - dry and continuously. From feed tanks, a mixture of wheat and grinding balls is fed into the ATR ball mill-agitator according to strict instructions (figure 2 ). This mixture of flour and grinding balls is processed by a shaft with a vertical axis of rotation and horizontal agitators. At the same time, gravity causes the contents of the mill to move from top to bottom. These movements of and in the product subject the latter to pressure and shear forces, which in turn enable energy to be transmitted to the grinding...
