3. Station operation

3.1 Measured values

Sound levels are measured every half-second: L A,eq, 0.5s , L eq,1/3octave between 20 Hz and 20,000 Hz in dB and PNL (Perceived Noise Level) in PNdB. The spectral weighting used for PNdB differs from that used for dB(A), so that reconciling these two quantities only makes sense within identified source categories (cf. § 6.2).

Time stamping is checked every ten minutes. Time-stamp malfunctions are recorded, as is every analyzer action (sending data, triggering automatic checks, etc.).
