2. Integrated aircraft noise/trajectory monitoring systems

2.1 Features

We can identify two families of functionalities expected from integrated systems in terms of information and communication.

  • Streaming on-line visualization of aircraft movements in real or delayed time: description of flight path, height and identification of aircraft, and instantaneous sound levels (L eq short) recorded by overflight stations. The sound levels transmitted are raw values, without metrological validation, which limits the interest of this web visualization to a demonstration of the airport authority's desire for transparency.

  • Once the data has been validated and processed, the statistical information can be used to assess noise...
