7. Communication
Rare attempts to use acoustic data for law enforcement purposes have failed. The reason for this is obvious, and is linked to the number of factors influencing noise measured on the ground. This is why environmental regulations have focused on restricting the use of some of the noisiest aircraft, or on trajectographic constraints (spatial limits), or on compliance with specific operational procedures, such as the so-called "low-noise" ones.
