INTRODUCTION
Thanks to its ability to penetrate many opaque materials, terahertz radiation undoubtedly offers considerable advantages for the analysis of objects from our cultural heritage. This article summarizes the recent results we have achieved in this field, using two complementary, portable terahertz imaging systems made available to national and international museums.
Terahertz radiation, owing to a high penetration through numerous opaque materials, offers a great potential for the analysis of artifacts related to our cultural heritage. In order to convince the reader, we propose in this article to resume our recent results obtained in this domain with two complementary portable terahertz imaging systems, directly installed in national and international museums.
