2. Post-processing of vibration data and use of results

2.1 General principles

Vibration signal post-processing techniques are often based on mathematical methods applicable to signal processing: Fourier transforms, Laplace transforms, transfer functions, and so on. As a result, the measurement industry has invested heavily in the development of equipment that can be used for a wide range of needs, and in software adapted to maintenance, operation, study or even advanced research.
