7. Conclusion

Displacement transducers are numerous and based on a variety of physical principles. It should be noted that the use of push-pull structures significantly reduces non-linearities in the response of these sensors. When it comes to sensor selection, the main criteria are sensitivity and measurement range, as well as low sensitivity to influencing variables in the measurement environment. In most cases, the price of the measurement chain remains the main criterion, and compromises will have to be made with regard to the above-mentioned criteria.
