4.1 General presentation
80% of calibrated thermometers consist of a sensor (thermocouple, platinum resistance thermometer, thermistor, etc.) combined with a multimeter.
This multimeter can be a voltmeter or an ohmmeter, with a built-in temperature conversion function.
Most manufacturers offer indicators that can be configured according to the type of sensor used.
In order to reduce the number of corrections to be made to indicator readings, a number of adjustment procedures are available. In most cases, these adjustments consist of :
