Although this article is not concerned with the actual identification-simulation of this unit, it is worth recounting the final result of all these modeling efforts.

Figure 28 shows, under the same objective circumstances, the behavior of PID control and PFC predictive control, visible also on the histograms of the deviation signal where the standard deviation σ has been divided by at least 6 :
