5.1 Test steps

Depending on the choice of life cycle, these stages may vary slightly in content and chronology, but the principle remains the same. The stages are as follows.

  • Validation tests

    These tests verify the software's functionality, interfaces, performance and correct operation. They check that the software meets the expressed needs, and that it fits correctly into its environment.
