2D-LC, particularly in integral comprehensive mode, is a technique with great potential that is growing in popularity, driven by the need for fine characterization of complex matrices. Primarily an academic technique 5 to 10 years ago, it is now being used in industry's analytical development laboratories for qualitative applications (identification, comparison).
