Capillary; capillary

In capillary electrophoresis, a tube generally made of fused silica, 10 to 100 μm in internal diameter and 365 μm in external diameter.

Co-ion; co-ion

Ion of the separation electrolyte with the same charge as the analyte under consideration.

Contre-ion; counter-ion

Ion of the separating electrolyte with opposite charge to that of the analyte in question.

Écoulement électroosmotique; electroosmotic flow

Liquid flow generated by the application of a tangential electric field.
