ABSTRACT
In certain cases, such as that of analyses or calibrations not listed in the service catalogue, or temporary incapacity due to equipment failure, an ongoing disposition of nonconformity or production overload, laboratories subcontract analysis and benchmarking. The selection of a subcontractor is made preferably upon proof of accreditation, which does not exclude implementing a follow-up. The requirements in the case of subcontracting metrology services must conform to specific requirements.

INTRODUCTION
Laboratories subcontract analyses or calibrations when they cannot perform them themselves. This situation arises, for example, in the following cases:
the analyses or calibrations requested are not included in the catalog of services (systematic subcontracting outside the scope of accreditation);
momentary incapacity due to equipment failure ;
a non-conformity in progress;
activity overload;
etc.
