3. Semi-analytical resolution
3.1 Existing solutions in the literature
This section aims to give a few examples of semi-analytical resolution schemes for elastic foundation modeling, without claiming to be exhaustive. There are also other resolution approaches based on continuous medium modeling or special finite element formulation .
An example of semi-analytical resolution is Hart-Smith's A4EA code for predicting the static strength of single-lap glued joints, including the elasto-plastic behavior of the glue
