3. Bearing architecture

The rolling elements perform three main functions:

  • vehicle load distribution ;

  • they ensure that traction forces are exerted;

  • they ensure that braking forces are applied.

The following constraint functions must be taken into consideration:

  • Bearing stability regardless of line profile;

  • low track aggressiveness;

  • low maintenance.
