7. Testing and certification
The various standards presented in the previous sections enable manufacturers to build equipment that is compatible with that of their competitors. In particular, the C-ROADS platform has published a harmonized communication profile that specifies the components required for ITS-S, as well as the CEN and ETSI standards that must be met to guarantee initial deployment in a limited number of selected use cases and applications . All its members are thus assured of supplying equipment that is compatible with each other. In addition, this definition has been produced in partnership with the Amsterdam Group, to extend its impact.
