1. Purpose of the study

After six years of developing optimized and diversified recovery methods, Aliapur has carried out an environmental assessment of different recovery methods with the assistance of a specialist consultancy.

This assessment, based on a life cycle assessment (LCA) approach in line with the methodological requirements of international standards ISO 14040:2006 and ISO 14044:2006, was designed to meet three main objectives:

  • comparatively assess the overall environmental benefits of the various recovery methods studied;

  • identify the main environmental benefits and/or impacts associated with each of the value-added processes, with a view to better positioning their image and communicating objective assessment criteria to a wide audience;
