3.1 Introduction to modeling
The aim of modeling is to create a tool that is representative of battery behavior under all conditions of use. It is the result of a scientific approach aimed at producing a fairly complex representation of the object studied, in order to achieve the required level of precision, but simplified enough to save time and resources. These models will also have limits in terms of their range of use: at a single or multiple temperatures, over a reduced (VE type) or wide (VH type) current range, etc. The time and resources expended by the modeler will therefore depend directly on the objectives set in terms of modeling quality and field of application.
