Biomimetics; biomimetic
refers to biomimicry, i.e. the notion of imitating concepts developed in Nature. There are many aspects to biomimicry, such as mimicking an organism's function or the chemical composition of a biological tissue. The paragraph 3 takes up the notion of biomimicry in relation to apatites, and sets out several degrees of it.
