3.1 Quantitative review
An assessment was carried out at the end of the various actions, showing that the majority of SMIs taking part in these actions had started an innovation project, obtained public funding for it, and those who were among the first to commit to the action quickly hired a young engineer to manage the project.
More specifically: an initial feasibility study was carried out between 2010 and 2011 in the Île-de-France region with the help of the DIRRECTE. Two small and medium-sized mechanical engineering companies were supported, they formalized their innovation project with the consultant, obtained public financial aid, and began their project by each hiring a young engineer to lead the project.
