3. Review and outlook

3.1 Positives

The project was carried out with a view to transferring skills –, thus illustrating the CEA's motto ("From Research to Industry") –, and accompanied a change in practices within DCNS (Naval Group) design offices, notably in terms of improving calculation models, made more accurate by taking fluid/structure interactions into account.

The work led to the development of an original and efficient formulation of fluid/structure interactions in heat exchangers. The work program enabled the method to pass TRL stages 3 to 7, bringing it to a phase of pre-industrial maturity.
