6. Teaching hydrogen technologies at China's top universities
To keep pace with the rapid development of hydrogen technologies, China's demand for professionals in the sector - engineers, technicians, researchers, administrators, economists and human resources specialists - has grown considerably, as it has in the West. Although there were no hydrogen-related majors in Chinese universities or institutions before 2022, hydrogen-related online courses were offered in the curricula of other disciplines at some renowned universities.
Tianjin University offers courses on fuel cells to undergraduate (bachelor) students in power engineering and thermophysical engineering in the Mechanical Engineering Department. Tongji University's Automotive Department developed China's first fuel cell car with independent intellectual property rights, and won the first prize for scientific and technological progress for Chinese higher education...
