4. Conclusion
The ministerial decree of June 30, 2006 sets the minimum targets to be achieved by surface treatment professionals in terms of specific consumption and emission concentration limits. A well-structured rinsing line is essential if these two objectives are to be achieved in good technical and economic conditions.
Large material flows must be retained in static baths to facilitate recycling and recovery.
Dynamic rinse rates must be kept as low as possible, while remaining compatible with production. This condition is met if the number of rinsing tanks is sufficient. Discharge concentrations resulting from the mixing of dynamic rinsing water are well above emission limits, but can be cleaned up or recycled in good conditions.
