Plants of this type are capable of continuously supplying a molding plant with up to 30 tons of liquid cast iron per hour, for casting rates in excess of 350 molds per hour.
Once the right refractories have been chosen and their application entrusted to expert hands, it's up to the caster to use his newly lined furnace with care, controlling all its operating parameters. Regular monitoring, adherence to pouring and holding temperatures, regular cleaning of the bath and all the care taken in the general running of the furnace are the main factors in prolonging the life of the refractory lining.
