INTRODUCTION
After the two main operations in the casting manufacturing cycle :
Core molding, which gives the part its shape;
producing the liquid alloy and pouring it into the mold that will actually create the part;
the industrial process is not yet complete.
Cast and cooled molds should be unstuck.
The parts, extracted from the sand, finish cooling in the open air. They are then cleaned to remove all burnt sand: feeders, burrs, jets and casting attacks are broken off, ground off and cut out with a flashlight or press.
The parts may then undergo heat treatment and inspection to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
In some cases, surface treatments are applied to parts to improve their mechanical characteristics or appearance, or to protect them from oxidation before storage and delivery.
