4. Software support for electron diffraction

There are many software packages available for simulating diffraction patterns. We would like to mention two of them, which are characteristic of two different approaches. Diffraction can be approached either from a geometrical angle, with verification of Bragg conditions, or from a more physical angle, with resolution of the differential equations of electron scattering by a crystal.
