4. LGV EST/Raccordement à la LGV interconnexion IDF à Claye-Souilly

4.1 Context

The Claye-Souilly project demonstrates the use of fly ash as a lightweight backfill in a compressible zone. A major difficulty at this site stems from the configuration of the embankments themselves, which are adjacent to LGV railway platforms in service.

In the following paragraphs, we will discuss :

  • the technical proposal adopted at the project and works contract stages;

  • identification of substrate materials ;

  • stability studies (see Note) ;

  • ash processing studies ;

  • site completion ;

  • conclusions on the choice of realization process....
